Islam Against Terorism

The Principles of Islam

In The Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful

Praise be to Allah without any partner. Prayers and peace be on His Prophet and Messenger to mankind who is not to be followed with any other Prophet or Messenger of Allah.

There is no doubt that war against terrorism is the axis of most of the accurances and international policies during the beginning years of the twenty-first century.

There is no doubt also that there are some people who claimed that Islam leads to terrorism and that the fundamentals of Islam and the Holy Verses of the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sayings called “Hadith” urge some Muslims to practice terrorism.

Also, there is no doubt that some Muslim extremists have misunderstood some Holy Quranic Verses and some Prophetic Sayings and that their misunderstanding has led to many forms of wrong behavior.

Few members of such extremists misled others talking about Jihad as “the absent Islamic Farida” without taking into consideration that war in Islam has its rules and fundamentals and that Jihad in Islam consequently has its rules, fundamentals, conditions and systematic ways and legal methods and forms.

YES, Jihad is found in Islam. But what is Jihad in Islam in fact
?
What are its fundamentals? What are its conditions
?
One is quite wrong when he thinks that the Muslim must carry his arms and fight people to make them witness that there is no God except One God and that Muhammad is The Messenger of Allah, or pay the tribute involuntarily and humbly
.

This fierce false and cunny attack planned by non-Muslims especially Jewish
Zionism is the cause of writing this study included on the pages of this book aiming to give the true Islamic side of view a real and correct chance for interaction with both non-Islamic and terrorist sides of view. This chance depends on showing the true fundamentals of Islam and on showing the details of the biography of the life of the Prophet of Islam (Peace be upon him.). We are quite sure that Islam in its real and true facts included in its fundamentals and through the biography of the life of the Prophet of Islam is quite far away from terrorism. Islam is the innocent accused.

It is untrue that Islam is a religion of terrorism. It is untrue that Islam urges followers towards terrorism. It is untrue that Muslims-all Muslims-are terrorists.
This is intended false accusation against Islam and Muslims that Holy Quranic Verses together with Prophetic Hadith connected with laws of war in Islam; and the nature, and fundamentals and conditions of Jihad oppose and reject in a very decisive way.

This book announces it to all Muslims and non-Muslims: Islam forbids terrorism and does not urge people to be terrorists at all. The Holy Quran and the Prophetic Hadith show this fact clearly and apply clear evidences during any argument with others.

What Is Islam

In brief, we can say that Islam is
:?

1-
Testifying that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad (P.BU.H) is His Messenger.
2-
Performing prayers regularly.
3-
Paying the Zakah.
4-
Fasting the month of Ramadan.
5-
Pilgrimage to the Sacred Sanctuary of Allah for those who can afford it.

The evidence for testifying that there is no God but Allah from the Holy Quran is “Allah testifies that there is no God but He, and the angles, and those who have knowledge also testify that He stands firm for justice. There is no God but He, The Almighty, and The Wise, “
(3:18).

This means that is only Allah that is worthy of being worshipped. The negation in this Holy Verse implies the denial of any other deities to be worshipped besides Allah. Allah should have no partner in His worship and He has no partner in His Domain
.
Also, Allah says what means: “ it so happened that Abraham said to his father and to his people : indeed I absolve myself of what you worship; save Allah who has originated me and he (Abraham) left this word among his descendants so that they might turn to Allah”
(43:26-28).

Also, Allah says what means: “Say followers of the scriptures (Jews and Christians) let us come to common terms so that we will associate no partners with Him. And that we will not appoint deities from among us to be worshipped with Allah. But if they turn their back, tell them to witness that we are Muslims”
(3:64).

Also, the Holy Quran gives evidence that Muhammad is The Messenger of Allah as Allah says what means: “ Indeed, there has come to you a messenger from among yourselves. It grieves him the you suffer adversity and he is heedful of your welfare and to the believers he is compassionate and merciful” (9:128).
Evidence from the Holy Quran as for fasting the month of to testify that Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is The Messenger of Allah signifies that one should obey His ordinance and believe him in all what he tells avoiding all what he prohibits and worship Allah according to His precepts.

Evidence from the Holy Quran as for prayers and Zakah included in the meaning of what Allah said “And they have only been commanded to worship Allah as dedicated and devote monotheists and to perform regular prayers and to pay Zakah. That is indeed the true and sound religion”
“98:5).

Ramadan is: “ O! you, who believe, fasting has been ordained on you as it had been ordained on those before you so that you may have piety”
(2:183).

Evidence from the Hoy Quran as for pilgrimage is “ Allah has ordained on people the pilgrimage to His House for those who are capable of performing it and as for those who turn away in disbelief, Allah is in no need of His creatures”
(3:97).

The Prophetic Hadith confirms these five fundamentals of Islam as it is reported that the Prophet said: Islam is built on five pillars the bearing of witness that there is no God but Allah, and that Muhammad is The Messenger of Allah, the keeping of prayers, the payment of Zakah, the pilgrimage and fasting in Ramadan.

Of course, anyone who has embraced Islam to be his chosen religion on mental grounds accepted in his mind and heart, believing in one God that is Allah and that Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is His true Messenger should accept performing regularly the Islamic worships such as prayers, fasting, Zakah and pilgrimage for those who can afford pilgrimage for performing these Islamic worships is the true practical proof that he is really a true Muslim.

IMAN (FAITH) AND IHSAN (CHARITY
)

It is not enough for a Muslim to perform the obvious apparent Islamic worship, but he should act and behave according to good moralities in all what he does and in all what he says all over his life through to the end in addition to believing in Islamic beliefs and this is what is called Imam
.

Allah refers to this fact concerning the relation between the Islam and the Iman as Allah says what means
:

“It is not righteousness that you turn your faces to the east and the west, but righteous is he who believes in Allah and The Last Day and the Angels and the Scripture and the Prophets and gives his wealth in love of him to kinsfolk who ask, and to set slaves free, and observes proper worship, and pays the poor-due. And those who keep their treaty when they make one, and the patient in tribulation and adversity and time of stress. Such are they who are sincere, Such are the God-fearing”. (2:177
).

Al-Ihsan (charity) is to worship Allah as if you saw Him, and in case you cannot see Him, He sees you. The Holy Quran refers to this meaning as Allah says what means “ Put your trust in the Almighty, The Merciful for it is He Who watches you stand up in prayers and then you are among those who adore Him for He is the Hearer, the Knower” (26:217-220
).

The Prophetic Hadith refers to Al-Islam, Al-Iman and Al-Ihsan according to Omar Ibn Al-Khattab as he said
:

“When we were sitting with the Prophet (P.B.U.H), a man in white clothes and very black hair with no traces of any traveling on him though he was a stranger, came. He sat before the Prophet with his own knees close to his knees putting his hands on the thighs of the Prophet. Then, the man said: “O Muhammad, tell me about Islam”. The Prophet, said
,
“It is to testify that there is no God but Allah, and to perform regular prayers and to pay the Zakah and to fast the month of Ramadan and to perform the pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Allah if one can afford it” The stranger said, “You have spoken the truth”. We wondered why he asked him and told him that he had said the truth (as if he did not ignore the truth before asking him). Again, the man asked, “Tell me about Iman”. The Prophet answered, “It is to believe in Allah and His angels and His books and His Messengers and The Last Day and in destiny, good and bad” Then, the man asked, “Tell me about Ihsan”. The Prophet replied, “ It is to worship Allah as if you are seeing Him even though you do not see Him, He sees you”. The man asked, “Tell me of The Hour”. The Prophet said, “The questioned does not know about it more than the questioner”. The man said, “Tell me about its signs” the Prophet answered, “when a slave girl gives birth to her mistress and you see the bare-footed and tattered needy shepherds erecting highbuildings”. When the stranger departed the Prophet kept silent for a while and he said “Omar, do you recognize the questioner? “We replied,” Allah and His Messenger know better. “The Prophet said, “It is Gabriel. He has come to teach you your religion
”.

Thus, not only is Islam a compact of religions beliefs, but Islam is a religion that applies to people the true religious beliefs as well as the true practical application of practicing life according to true religious and Islamic and moral rules that join between exterior and interior aspects of human life keeping order between the Muslim and his God, between him and other people and between him and the natural environment around him through the connection between Islam, Iman and Ihsan
.

The Prophet of Islam (P.B.U.H)

His birth

Muhammad, Ibn (1) Abdullah, Ibn Abdul-Muttalib, of the tribe(2) of Quraish, the best descendants of Abraham (Khaleelullah, the
father of the Prophets) from the branch an of Ismail, known as the Prophet of Islam was born in Mecca, at the middle of the western
half of the Arabian Peninsula at the dawn of the twelfth night of the month of Rabi Al-Awwal, fifty three years before the Hegira,
(August 30th 570 A.D)

As for the place of his birth, the holy city of Mecca, it is known as Al-Balad Al-Haram, (the Sacred City) because, it holds in the
middle of it the Sacred Sanctuary of Allah, built according to orders from Allah by the father of Prophets, Abraham (P.B.U.H,)
and his son Ismail, round the honoured Kaaba containing the Sacred Black Stone blessed by God according to the Divine Wish
and Will of God.

In this respect, Allah says what means: "And remember that Abraham was treated by his Lord with certain commands that he
fulfilled. Allah told him that he would make him a leader for mankind. Abraham said: "And of my offspring?" Allah said, "My
covenant includes not wrongdoers." And remember that We made The House a place of assembly for mankind and a safe Sanctuary
and We ordered to take the place where Abraham stood to pray as your place of worship and We imposed a duty upon Abraham and
Ismail telling them to purify My house for these who compass it round and those who meditate therein and those who bow down
and prostrate themselves in their prayers. And remember that Abraham said, "My Lord, make this city a city of peace and feed
its people with fruits as they believe in Allah and The Last Day".
Allah said, "And those who disbelieve, I shall leave each of them
in contentment for a while, then I shall compel him to the doom of

fire which is an evil destination". And remember that when Abraham and Ismail raised the foundations of the house saying

Our Lord! Accept from us for You are the All-Hearing, the AII- Knowing. Our Lord, make us Muslims, submissive to You and
make out of our progeny a people of Muslims submissive to You and towards us for you are the Relenting and the Merciful, Our
Lord, send them an apostle of their own who shall rehearse Your
signs to them and instruct them in Scripture and wisdom and sanctify them for You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise", and
who is he who turns away from the religion of Abraham save him who befouls himself? Verily, We have chosen him in the world and he is among the righteous in the hereafter". (2:124-130)

This is the holy city of Mecca where there the Prophet of Islam (P.B.U.H) was born. The year of his birth (570 A.D.) is called the
year of the elephant In the (570 A.D.), it happened that Abraha Al-Ashram, the Abyssinian governor of Yemen, led a very big expedition against Mecca in order to destroy the Holy Sanctuary of Allah or Al-Bayt Al-Haram. Abraha accompanied huge elephants in his big army.
No human defense was offered by the custodians of Al-Kaaba or the inhabitants of Mecca as a whole. They were relying on God
Who defended His house. Abraha's army was destroyed under a shower of stones thrown from the sky showing that material
resources cannot defeat the purpose of God; and that was in the year of the birth of the Prophet of Islam (P.B.U.H). The Holy
Quran has registered this event as Allah says what means "Have
you not seen how your Lord dealt with the owners of the elephant? Did He not bring their stratagem to naught? And He sent

against them swarms of flying creatures. Striking them with stones of baked clay. And He made them like green crops devoured
by cattle". (105:1-5).

We cannot give full details of the biography of the life of the Prophet of Islam (P.B.U.H) but we are to apply few headlines
showing its basic characteristics.

His father Abdullah Ibn Abdul-Muttalib died before the birth of his son Muhammad Ibn Abdullah leaving for him five camels and
some sheep and a maid called Um Ayman
His mother, Amenah Bent(4) Wahb also died when he was five years old in Yathrib, and her maid, Um Ayman returned with him
to Mecca where his grandfather Abdul-Muttalib became in charge of this orphan who lost both of his father and his mother. Being an
orphan in his early childhood made him quite independent and uninfluenced with the authority of parents on their children of
course. That was God's will and the Prophet's destiny.

At the age of eight, his grandfather Abdul-Muttalib died, and his uncle Abu Talib became in charge of him.
At the age of twelve, Muhammad (P.B.U.H) accompanied his uncle Abu Talib in a journey to Syria where a Christian monk
called Baheera recognized Muhammad as the Last Messenger of Allah according to certain information that he know from inherited
Christian legacy. Baheera advised Abu Talib to keep eye on his nephew lest the Jews would have killed him out of jealousy forthe
Jews want the Last Messenger of Allah to be an Israelite from the branch of Isaac not from the branch of Ismail.
Being a youth, Muhammad (P.B.U.H) worked as a shepherd.
This work gave him the chance to think matters over and oover
contemplating everything around him. He demanded nothing but
clothing, food and shelter when he returns home to sleep and rest.
A day followed a day and a month gave way to another month, and a year followed a year.

His Marriage

Being a wise and honest man, Muhammad was invited to be in charge of a commercial trading tour from Mecca to Syria carrying the goods owned by a very wealthy widow called Khadija. He returned to Mecca after making considerable profits. Maysara who accompanied him during that trading tour told Khadija much information about Muhammad's good characters and wise conduct. He even added that Muhammad was a man blessed by God and that a cloud was always protecting him from the heat of the sun.

Khadija who was about forty years old made her decision and offered marriage to Muhammad in a very reasonable way. She told a friend of hers about her wish. Her friend called "Nafisa Bint Monya" went to Muhammad and asked him, "Why don't you get married?" He said, "I don't have enough money." She said, "If money is available together with beauty and honor and good manners, do you agree?" He said, "Who?" She said, "Khadija". He asked, "How?" She answered, "I know how". He said, "I agree" then he accompanied his uncles and asked Khadija's uncle, Omar Ibn Asad to marry Khadija. And the marriage was approved. The dowry was twenty she-camels.

After marriage, Muhammad (P.B.U.H) lived a peaceful good life and became the most respected man in Mecca and was called the truthful, the honest Muhammad.

His Wisdom

Rebuilding the Kaaba and the Sacred House, the people of Mecca were about to fight concerning the tribe having the right to put the Holy Black Stone in its place into the eastern wall of the Sacred House.

Muhammad (P.B.U.H) was the first new comer upon whom they agreed to judge as for that serious matter. He judged that each tribe had to lift the Sacred Stone from one side only. The four disputing tribes lifted it, then he put it in its place and the four disputing tribes who were to fight each other were quite satisfied. This affair shows the wisdom of Muhammad before his mission as a Prophet and a Messenger of Allah to all mankind. Idolatry And Honafa
